I just open a web site about photography, I’m an amateur trying to be a pro. How do people can see my web site when they search for photographers?
by the way…website is www.rdapics.com
After an initial review of your website, it appears that your web designer chose to go with a flash-base design and unfortunately, did you ever consider that only 15-20% of Net users are on high-speed DSL. The rest of the 85% of Net users are currently on analog dial-up systems and they will simply leave your website due to the long downloads of your flash images. Download speeds must be kept to a minimum–no long then 30 seconds. You are well advised to redesign your opening webpage to eliminate the flash images or at the very least, reduce their overall size so dial up Net users can readily view your photos.
Your metatags need major re-editing. The following article may be helpful to achieve a higher PageRank on Google.com.
You may want to consider some simple algorithms which,
when observed and committed in designing of a website
with placement of various critical metatags that can
surely achieve a high search engine presence and
increase Internet traffic to your website. These
metatag strategies work well with published webpages
at Google and Yahoo.
Design: Should you create an extensive Flash-based
website, make sure to fill-in the property entries
such as the Title, Description and Keywords. Failing
to do so, leaves no hard HTML or ALT resource that can
be readily indexed by search robots. Also consider the
Internet audience and their incoming setup. For
example, if they are on analog/dialup, Flash webpages
take too long to load up and therefore analog users
will likely lose interest and discontinue entering the
Flash site. On the other hand, anyone on hi-speed DSL
lines, will welcome Flash pages which load quickly. So
before designing a pure Flash websitge, ask the simple
question, "Who’s my end user – is he on dialup or
DSL?" And if you had to choose between these two users
for maximum marketability, then select analog users
since 80% of most resident users are still analog
Internet subscribers and pure HTML designed webpages
is best for them.
A non-Flash-based website which relies on hard text,
is far easier to be indexed by search robots. Limit
the use of stylized text saved as .gifs since as a
graphic, they are not indexable by search robots.
Avoid use of frames since any number of search robots
are unable to properly classify textual material.
Placement of Metatags:
A ranking or search order does take place with Google
and Yahoo and it begins with the "Title" metag which
should consist of no more than 65 characters separated
by commas. The "Title" should describe in generic
terms, the goods and services, followed by a location
from which the resource is located, i.e., city, state.
The placement of a domain name which is not generic
within the "Title" is not appropriate, unless your
domain name is a major recognizable brand name.
The second metatag is the "Description" which is
usually 25-30 words to form a complete sentence which
best describes one’s goods and services.
And the very last category – "Keywords" are also
somewhat limited to 15-16 words which can be plural
and compound in nature. Again, avoid multiple entries
which could be mistaken as "spamdexed entries" which
is defined as the loading, and submission of
repetitive words into a particular metatag category.
"Spamdexing" when discovered on a webpage and reported
to Google’s spamreport.com can result in the
elimination of your website from their search
directory.
Here’s an example of a very highly-placed website on
Google.com: Begin with the very "generic" search query
"sandwiches downtown los angeles," taking note to not
abbreviate Los Angeles to "LA" and of course, leave
out the parentheses ("). It will bring up some 2.4
million+ search results. Check out where "Nazos.net"
is ranked. It’s on the SECOND FRONT [ranked 15]!
Again, Nazos.net’s high web presence was achieved by
proper web design and placement of relevant metatags
according to Google’s publication guidelines.
Good luck!

My question is about district justice court in Pennsylvania. I have a court date for a traffic violation. I want to know if I can request documents from the police as evidence in my trial (discovery). The specific court is Kennett Square Magisterial District Justice Court. Please only answer if you have direct experience; web/book searches are not trustworthy enough.
Doc’s answer is just the kind I was trying to avoid. Of course, in theory, my traffic case is just like any other criminal case and I have all the rights under the constitution. However, in many states, traffic court just doesn’t work like that. Moving violations that can’t result in jail time have been "decriminalized" and rights have been taken away. I did call the court and they did not know about my discovery rights, and from their answer it seemed pretty clear that it is very rare for even a request to happen.
The police have formally denied to supply me with any of the evidence I requested such as the officer’s notes, precise location where my speed was measured, instruction manual for the speed-measurement device (VASCAR).
Yes, certainly. It’s part of your 6th Amendment right to face your accuser. Just call the court and ask how to do it.

spread the website name through Word-of-Mouth…
Hi. I’ve been helping a friend get more traffic to their web site. Is writing for EzineArticles any help? Any other ezine site good?
Aside from web content writing and updating, blogging and search engine and directory submissions, what else can I do to get more traffic to a site?
My friend is unable to update their site often and their site is low on content at the moment. Without the frequent updates, is it no use to get links to the site (as I’ve been trying to do as a third-party)?
What else can I do to help? Any web design suggestions, and other ways to get links?
Also, are RECIPROCAL links (like some directories ask for) any good?
What about multiple links to same URL from the same page(s)? Are they counted the same or not?
Please give me "white hat SEO" techniques, nothing unethical, thanks a lot!
The most effective way to advertise on the Internet is
to first set up a website and publish its domain name
on major search directories such as Google.com,
Yahoo.com [at http://www.google.com/addurl/?...... and
MSN.com since 85% of Internet shoppers rely on these
search directories to provide them with goods and
services. In a sense, these search directories are a
very large Internet Yellow Pages.
Nevertheless, should your website or opening webpage
fail to contain "generic" keywords, then anyone using
such "generic" queries will not be able to discover
your website. Your domain name [URL] of your website,
in a sense, will be invisible, undiscoverable.

I’ve been getting mixed signal about this. If I got a ticket in California (let’s say red light ticket for $400), and decided to take the traffic school, do I still need to pay the full amount of the original ticket ($400) + the traffic school fee? Or does it get reduced if you take the traffic school?
A web search reveal some people had to pay only $50 + $30 for the traffic school and everything is dismissed (didn’t have to pay the original ticket price). Others said taking traffic school will only take the violation off of your record, and you still need to pay the full amount.
What’s the truth?
And is it different from state to state? I live in CA
5. If I pay the fine, do I still have to go to traffic school?
To attend a traffic school, both the citation bail amount and a non-refundable administrative fee must be paid before the court allows enrollment. The traffic school charges an additional fee to attend the program. You can pay the fine without enrolling in a traffic school, but you will receive points on your driving record which may raise your car insurance rates.
