I have started a non-profit group to help the poorest of the poor in Tanzania, E. Africa. I have a website and would like to drive more people to it. This has the potential of getting more people involved in helping me and more donations? Any help is appreciated.

Well, posting your link on here is one way, but you may get violated for advertising. Other ways would be to print your website and some information about it on flyers and then send those out to national, state, and local charity organizations to post on their bulletin boards.
Another way would be to join some discussion boards and forums and post your link there.
You can also send out an email to all your friends with the link and some information and ask them to forward that email on to their friends.
You can also try community centers and coffee shops in your area that has free to post bulletin boards where you can post a flyer about your site.
You can also write to or email or call local radio stations and tv stations with your information and website.

Yahoo has a similar program to adwords if you don’t like adwords. Or search for other smaller companies but then it is hard to trust them. I have a website thats a little over a month old. At first the traffic was steadily increasing. Now I’m hardly getting any hits at all. I’ve tried submitting articles, sighned up to directories and search engines, put videos on youtube and have participated in places such as blogcatalog. Those that have seen my site and blog really liked it yet still I’m hardly getting any traffic? What am I doing wrong and how can I fix it ?

You are definitely on the right track. Submitting articles, signing up for key directories and search engines, posting videos on YouTube and participating in blogging and social media are all great activities for increasing your traffic.

First of all, it’s important to understand that these strategies take some time. You need to get loads of backlinks from other sites. Twiiter is good. Oh goodness……this is the fourth Q today where people need advice on earning or traffic etc and t is really hard to give such advice on YA, it’s either too long or info that should be harder to get, i think i;m going to set up an advice site and see if ya will approve it as a knowledge partner!!! For instance, I’d like to compare a client’s website traffic (hits per day) with other comparable sites. (The client is a group of doctors).

If you narrow your target group down to "mlm" to find home biz seekers or "beauty" to promote a product, how effective is this method of advertising?
