    does anyone notice …
does anyone notice that its always “breaking news” its never just news.

  2. TheTofujr Says:

    well you know how …
well you know how the media loves to strech things!

  3. DarwinsFriend Says:

    Because of the …
    Because of the regulations?

Why have them if there’s no threat of enforcement?

  4. atamilaaq Says:

    Should be …
Should be TERMINATED? How many things can go wrong? HAHAHA the kids are just relaying instructions given by the POPS. Pilots deal with ATC’s all the time sure it may surprise them to hear a boy transmitting but pilot’s are pro’s so how many things can go wrong??
Thumbs way up for the boys, didn’t seem nervous at all. lol
    ADIOS

coastfan24 > “first off, greenburg is an idiot.”

May be – not relavent to the offense.

The recordings stand on their own – Greenburg has zero to do with that reality.

A tower trainee is allowed under the rules of the FAA to be on mic. The child is not.

Why is this reality such a mistery?

  6. coastfan24 Says:

    first off, …
first off, greenburg is an idiot. I guarantee the controller was plugged into another headset right next to his son and could have over-keyed him at any time if he though that it was neccessary, if you ask me having a kid controlling is no worse then a trainee sometimes and the controller could have taken control in a split second if need be. The pilots thought that it was funny and coming from experience it sounds like there was no real danger going on here, take a chill pill eveeryobe

    You did spell it …
You did spell it out quite well. It was like compairing apples and oranges – but you did it quite well.

  8. DarwinsFriend Says:

    “does owning and …
“does owning and operating an FAA Repair Station since 1958 qualify?”

I’m sure you’re fully cognizant that you can’t operate an FAA Repair Station without being an ‘Accountable Manager’, no?

You do know the resposibility entailed in that position? LOL.

    I thought I spelled …
I thought I spelled it out fairly well.
Although I would agree that bringing a child into the ATC tower was not a good idea, to say that the child “was controling air traffic” is just plain silliness. Just as Sasha Obama would not be in control of the United States Government every time she sits in the President’s chair. The child was repeating that which he was told to say.

  10. ndwheel05 Says:

    an FAA repair …
an FAA repair station simply implies that you have an A and P license and or simply own a business. I know people who own Law firms who aren’t attorneys.

Pretty good? In what way exactly? It’s cute to play hollywood sometimes, but in the white house, during a recession, it’s not so cute.

    For being the first …
For being the first black president and standing up to an ocean of “NO” from his opposition – he’s doing pretty good.

    I mean – what’s it been, 14 months?

You silly tit – the vast majority of FAA-RP’s are not at any airport (which mine is not), they are privately held and located in stand-alone businesses.

You silly, child of a fucktard! LOL!

    You know nothing!

    @DarwinsFriend i …
@DarwinsFriend i really do not care how long u worked assback at an airport, the fact is that i do have more experiance in this then you do, your not building hours everyday and constantly talking to tower are u? no, your not, and u make this such a big deal, id play it off as a joke or seeing how its fathers day id know his dad was there or mom to help him. and like the other pilots said “good job buddy!” so shut up and stop bitching. i hate ignorant like you

    It’s a selection …
It’s a selection process from the very start. It’s not oh we like ya, come in for an interview, it’s a multi step ordeal, and if ya don’t make it somewhere along the way, those mother will leave ya hangin. They don’t call, and they don’t email, not in my case, I can’t speak for everybody

  19. marbm8 Says:

    REDNECK?!?! Is that …
REDNECK?!?! Is that seriously the best name you can come up with?? You GOT-TO-BE kidding me…I’ve worked w/ the FAA plenty over the yrs, I’m no FAA employee, and some of ‘em are just as ignorant as your self…Thank ya Darwin, I appreciate the backing

    oh yea big deal, …
oh yea big deal, ATC talking to multiple pilots at a time? dude you dont know about flying so shut your mouth.

  21. subversyv Says:

    You might try …
You might try Googling the ‘NTSB’ and ‘crash investigations’ which actually includes things like train wrecks too. Millions of $ are spent figuring out why crashes occur so they can be prevented. You just don’t realize how many times they have actually prevented your premature death.

  22. subversyv Says:

    You don’t seem to …
You don’t seem to realize that even one loose screw in on a plane — in just the right place — can have devastating effect.

You can drive a jalopy down the road with all sorts of things wrong with it and down a couple of beers beforehand and still be within very safe limits. Not so with aircraft and REALLY not so with hundreds of lives at stake in one of the busiest airports in the world.

  23. subversyv Says:

    lol
    lol

  24. subversyv Says:

    Maybe you got never …
Maybe you got never got hired because of your answers during the interview:

FAA PANEL: “Now .. just one last question. If you had the chance to bring your young child to the tower at JFK and have him direct multimillion-dollar aircraft with hundreds of passengers aboard .. would you think that was a great idea or what?”

    YOU: “Oh yeah .. straight!”

    lol

  25. DarwinsFriend Says:

If he gets ANY FORM …
If he gets ANY FORM of Health Care passed – your ilk is hog-tied and totally screwed!

Between that and leaving Baghdad – there won’t be any stopping him. LOL!
