Police Driving???
Today, driving from the University to my house, 2 blocks to arrive there, a woman in the mittle of the street stopped me becuse her Ford Truck (semi-new) was been stolen, quickly I made a U turn to persuit whith my 90 Plymouth Sundance, while I was driving, I called to police to report the licence plates number(this is not allowed by the law, but was an emergency), the stolen vehicle turn on many streets in a residential area until the truck took a boulevad with too much traffic, so I lost it there.
I could to say the license number to the operator, but I could’n to approch more because I don’t know what kind of gun the man could have.
My question is: What web site could I to find info about of police driving? I respect the police work, but at an emergency in too necessary, I feel a desire of to have done something better to catch that man.
A stolen truck is not an emergency. Pursuing a stolen vehicle is something that even the police consider dangerous – for a member of the public to do so is foolhardy. You could have caused a serious accident, injuring yourself or others in the process. The best thing to do is call the police, give them the best description you can, and let them do their job.

Probably shouldn’t do that because if you cause an accident in pursuit a)you will be liable, b) you will be prosecuted. Call the cops, report the car was stolen, and that’s about all you can do; this isn’t a movie, you aren’t an action hero. If you want to learn how to drive like a cop become a cop.

The police will advise you not to pursue someone who has committed a crime. Police are trained in pursuits, and civilians are not. If the person you’re chasing had an accident and hurt or killed someone, you would be liable. If you had an accident chasing that person, you would be liable. If you had caught up with that person, they could be armed and dangerous. Leave policework to the professionals.

Ok heres what you do get up behind em’ and ram the crap out of em’ hahah no im just kidding. Keep your distance when pursuing a vehicle its best not to be noticed. If you report the car stolen you might as well called your grandma and told her that you lost your virginity its a waste of time cops arent looking for your stolen vehicles, there to busy writing people tickets for J-walking. Chase the people down follow them until they stop then report the location to the cops. I know I chased a hit and run driver and called the cops they told me to quit pursuit or I would be fined but the vehicle that was in the accident that got ran from was totaled and they had a car seat in the back I chased them down until they pulled into a parts store i placed him under citzens arrest and called the cops and told him that I had him under arrest and told them that I had a .45 in my truck and if they werent there in five minutes they could find him in the morgue they hurried over and told them that he had been in a hit and run turns out he was drunk not the same thing as a stolen car but dont lose the person the cops wont look for a stolen car when they tryed to steal my Tahoe I told him the description of the car down the to sticker in the back window called the cop a week later he told me the he had better things to do then look for a chop shop so if you can find were the vehicle went report it a few hours later the you seen that vehicle at that location and they may respond.
