How much website traffic does the average consumer website get?

I know this question is extremely vague but I have been asked this question by a client and need to present them with an answer. How much website traffic does the average online consumer website generate? In other words, what is "good" traffic? The problem I’m having is basing this off of some sort of statistic. I know there’s no one right answer, but anything to gauge what "good" is in terms of inputs (i.e. any form of inputs such as advertising cost). Thanks, any feedback is greatly appreciated!
In my last 10 years of experience as SEO, I would suggest a minimum traffic a website must be receiveing is 400-500 daily visitors, if anything beyond is considered not acceptable
